How soon after D&C for next Fet?

Hi, we had a fresh transfer of a day 5 3AA which resulted in a strong positive test (still dye stealers up to now). Unfortunately our 7 week scan today only showed a round regular 15mm gestational sac with a corresponding size yolk sac but no fetal pole. As per EPAU criteria we need another scan at 10 days as they can’t say it’s non viable as they could see the signs of a fetal pole developing. I’ve already accepted myself that this is likely an anembryonic pregnancy and decided that a D&C is what I would go for when the eventual news come. We have 3 PGtA normal frozen from this same cycle and wondering if there is an appropriate time after D&C to start?

Hi. This is really awfully bad luck and I’m hoping you have plenty of support around you. It can take up to three months for a period to return to what is normal for you, then you can go on the next one. Hope all is straightforward. Diane

So sorry for your loss xx

My friend who I met through my clinic had a D&C in August for a silent MC and the consultant has recommended she waits until November before doing another FET x

Hi, really hope your next scan has positive news ❤️🙏💐. If it doesn't, I have just had a D&C, I have to wait until my 1st natural cycle bleed before prepping for my FET. (so not the bleed you have due to the D&C but the next one). Best wishes x

Thanks! 1000x Good luck for your next Fet! Did you get the results of your testing (if they managed to get any suitable tissue for testing) post D&C to see what was the reason for the missed miscarriage? I was on steroids this time round due to high uterine NK cells but wondered if it just helped with the implantation when my body would have normally rejected an abnormal embryo.

Thank you 🙏.

No results yet as it hasn't been sent off, I'm not sure what they test for. I doubt it's chromosome testing.

They forgot to get us to sign the consent forms when I had the op and I've not been well enough to go in and sign them yet, hope to sign them this week at some point.

They'll also be sending off what looks like a little embryo that I passed during the miscarriage I had after the D&C. (they don't always get everything, wish I'd known as the miscarriage pain was horrendous for a week).

With you showing a 15mm gestational sac, corresponding yolk sac and signs of a fetal pole developing, I doubt it's just the steroids helping with implantation, they may have helped implant, but it's definitely progressed beyond implantation, it's been growing and developing beyond ❤️.

Anyway, you still have hope that your next scan brings positive news ❤️🙏💐 x
