Progesterone for ERA test

Hi there, I’m doing an ERA test soon and have been given oral utrogestan to take for my progesterone. For my FET I’ll be taking Cyclogest on a higher dose.

So my question is does the medication need to be identical?

I’m doing both at different clinics hence the slight variation. Grateful for advice/experiences etc.

Many thanks

hi I had this done and had the same progesterone medication brand wise for the mock era and then for a real transfer too

also, if your in between clinics, then following the era results the clinic doing your FET should follow that plan down to a T.

I would ask for the same medication used in your era cycle.

It should be kept the same as you may absorb them differently. X

I was told it didn’t need to be the same amount, just the same exact amount of time taken etc

thanks everyone, this is really helpful. I also rang the clinic and they said no harm either way so I’ll stick with the Cyclogest xx

Hi. Progesterone given via mucus membrane m does absorb more ewadily (front or back passage). It tops up what you need if necessary. It will be fine I’m sure. Good luck. Diane
