Feeling gutted today as day 3 update not positive.
There’s one they’re cautiously saying good quality 6 cells. But rest are poor. And one has arrested completely. Two of the poor quality ones are 6-8 cells but very fragmented, and the other two have only got to 4-5 cells so unlikely to progress. I’ve done everything humanly possible to help egg quality so I guess this is just age and stim protocol used. It’s our worst day 3 ever . Aware this is before the big drop to day 5.
We also got news my friends have had their baby today soon after the embryologist called - they were due within a week of what our due date would have been if our pregnancy hadn’t been ectopic. Just feeling so heartbroken by it all.
has anyone had day 3 poor quality that improved?

I don’t have any experience to give you sadly. But I am just so praying for that good quality one to pull through for you. And I just want to send you lots of love, it’s such a tough journey 💔 xxx
I’m so sorry it’s been a tough day for you, it really is the worst stage getting the updates! We had a 3 day transfer of two embryos a few months ago (3 day due to no flight availability & having to be home). We left Athens with two embryos still developing, but the embryologist was not hopeful at all that they would make it to day 5. We had completely written them off and were so pleasantly surprised to get the call saying one had made it to full blastocyst stage - I cried such tears of joy! We are due to have this one transferred in a few weeks. There is always hope and I really hope your little embryos surprise you! ❤️🙏🏼
I had a poor day 3 prognosis, only one out of three looked good and they suggested I have a day 3 transfer….that resulted in a pregnancy but unfortunately ended in a missed miscarriage….however one of my other two which had been fragmented at Day 3 was then graded a 5AA on day 5, was frozen as I was obviously PUPO with my day 3 embryo, but I had a FET with that 5AA and he’s now 7 weeks old. You are not out until you are out!
Fingers crossed for a more positive day 5 for you, IVF is such a flipping rollercoaster and you never know if things will go right or wrong
I only got 2 embryos so we transferred the two embryos as they told us due to poor quality wed have a lower chance of a successful preg. Our poor grades 3cb and 3cc and one turned into my 9 week old little boy.
