FET 2WW

Hi all

Hope you’re all doing well.

I am about to start my 2nd FET and it’s looking highly likely that the 2WW is going to clash with my trip to Tenerife. I am not sure if this is a good thing or not….has anyone else been away during there 2WW or do you think it’s best I postpone? The clinic have said it is ok to fly, was feeling anxious about that but they have confirmed it technically is safe to.

just wondered if anyone else has any thoughts about it that I may not have considered or if someone else has been away and it’s not caused any problems?

hey  Catlover89 I’m currently on day 9 of the 2WW and I’m on holiday in France. We didn’t fly, as we are camper-vanning over from the UK, but I can definitely recommend doing the 2WW whilst on holiday! Has taken my mind off it loads and feels like it’s actually gone quicker than previous 2WW’s. That’s not to say it’s not on my mind, and I was also a tad nervous beforehand just being away from home comforts etc. But now I’m here i know it was totally the right decision - even though I can’t drink the wine and eat the cheese, it’s just such a nice relaxing break and distraction. And I’m making sure I bring some wine back with me so that if I test negative (test day being last day of holiday) I will enjoy some wine back at home instead. I go to Tenerife a lot and I know the healthcare support is great there too if you needed any reassurance out there! X

me! We tested at 8dpt in Lanzarote whilst on the beach in July this year lol… it was a positive and I’m currently 14 weeks! We had the transfer on the Wednesday, went to a wedding with dancing all night Saturday and then flew out to Lanzarote on the Monday morning and tested on the Thursday. OTD was also when I was there on day 11. I think the canaries sunshine gave it that little extra sprinkle of baby dust ☀️ but I did test early as if it had been negative day 8 I was getting a cocktail on that beach. I didn’t know what to do either but it worked out fine. Ps unusually cave at like 4dpt and test but the holiday really took my mind off everything and it wasn’t until I was craving that cocktail that I had the urge to test it really took my mind off things xx
