Utrogestan on morning of transfer

Aware you can only take Utrogestan vaginally (I have been on Cylogest previously that you can take vaginally and rectally). I’ve got a transfer tomorrow morning at 10am and the clinic haven’t said anything about whether I’m ok to take the early morning pessary vaginally in the morn. Any advice? I emailed them to check today but didn’t receive a reply.

They advised me if taking Cyclogest vaginally, not to take on the morning of transfer unless you take it over 2hrs before your transfer, so it gives time for it all to be absorbed. Yet you can take it after your transfer. That's Cyclogest though. Can you Google about utrogestan and see how long it takes to fully absorb?

Thanks so much for replying, looks like it absorbs pretty quickly in 20 mins or so, so I might take it 3 hrs before the transfer and go from there 👍👍

I was on Utrogestan at the time of my transfer and was advised to take it as normal as soon as I woke up.

What needed to be absorbed had been by the time I went into theatre for transfer. Which was around 2 hours 15 minutes later.

On a previous transfer I was first on the list and advised to take it after as the window between was less than 2 hours x

yeah you just take your pessaries as normal in the morning. They wash the cervix anyways at transfer. Best of luck today 💜✨ xx
