Hi lovely ladies. Today was the day that we were waiting by the phone to hear if our embryos had made it after being thawed.
Much to our relief we received a call from one of the embryologists about 2pm to say all four had survived and were doing well. They will now try to develop them to day 5 blastocysts and hopefully our transfer will be on Thursday this week. Very exciting and nerve racking!
Thank you for all your support, thoughtful messages and advice. It keeps me going!

Ooo so exciting! How did it go? How are you feeling so far? Hopefully we can support each other through our two week wait. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. 🤞🤞🤞xx
Thank u!! It went ok thanks, we have 4 frozen decided to have 2 put back 1 thawed fine the other they said hadn’t collapsed as much as they would have liked so not quite in the same place as before frozen but they said was still a viable embryo which had the right no of cells & showed no sign of degeneration & although a lower chance they have seen people conceive, I was a little disappointed but didn’t feel right to just let it perish and it had progressed a little when we got there, this was the second best one in terms of quality and means we have 2 left, but u never know I am keeping everything crossed. I feel ok little uncomfortable today. Yes I will follow ur progress 👍 & we can defo support each other 😘 x
I’m keeping everything crossed for you. Maybe the one that hadn’t collapsed as much will be the little fighter who gets comfy! 💪🤞Sorry to hear you’re feeling a little uncomfortable. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Keep in touch. 😘 xx
Yay that's amazing news 👍😊 - hope they continue to develop well and your transfer goes smoothly on thursday. Nerve racking and exciting all at the same time. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🍀😊🌈
All going well thank you. Progesterone levels a little low so cyclogest increased today. FET booked for tomorrow at 11.30 and 2 of my embies will be thawed in the morning 🤞🤞🤞xx
Hi Kat, im doing ok. 1 of my embies didnt survive the thaw, bit sad but also a little expected as I remember when they froze it they said it was borderline. Transfer went well yesterday, 2 embabies on board and now officially in my 2ww!! 🤞😊🍀🤗🌈😍
That's great they all survived. I was so nervous waiting for that call back in 2017! Glad to say my embryo survived and he's now a cheeky little boy! I think technology has come a long way in terms of freezing/thawing.
Good luck with your next transfer and hope you get good news soon!
About to go through this myself. Taking the oestrogen and first lining scan in a few days. Wonderful news. Great to see your post. Everything crossed for you xx
Thanks Kat, was back this morning, the lining is a little less than last week, but still good enough to go ahead! Transfer booked for next Thursday - I can’t quite believe we’re finally going to get to that stage, it’s been a long time coming! I’m not gonna count my chickens just yet tho until that wee embryo is snug inside 💕🤞🏼 xxx
Omg am glad all your embryos made it to the thaw!! But hearing this just made me one more thing to worry and stress, I thought the thaw process was totally safe, am new to all this , its my first IVF and my trasnfer is next tuesday , my Dr. never mention anything about risks from thawing the embryo ! Now am worried and hope that my embryo make it to the thaw process as well, since I only have two frozen blatocysts🙏🏼
Hello. Thank you for your message and wishing you lots of luck for your transfer next week.
This is my first transfer too so I am still very new to this but to reassure you, our embryos were frozen at day 3 so I understand there is around a 90% chance of survival but there was a chance there wouldn’t all survive. It may be because they were day 3 as I think they are stronger at day 5, blastocyst stage? We get the call this morning about how they are doing and whether our transfer will go ahead this afternoon. 🤞🤞🤞
Ok that makes a lot of sense ! Phheeww 😅 well I wish you the best for this transfer I wish everything goes smoothly and I hope your embryos stick 🤞🏼Lots of baby dust your wAy!! And keep us all updated 😊
