Have just tested negative for first round of IVF, deep down I knew it but you just don't want to believe it do you. any tips to navigate the next few hard days? I want to start researching and potentially booking the next round but maybe at an abroad clinic? any recommendations for abroad clinics would be helpful.
Also for those that have endo- can you let me know if your egg count ever improved? if so what did u do. I only took 200mg Ubiquinol as the clinic said not to up it to 600mg..but I will now.
Feeling deflated but mainly its the time spent and the next few month's of going again!

I'm very sorry to hear this. The emotions will be very raw and very mixed. I think in hindsight I was in this state for weeks. I wouldn't make any plans or decisions at this point. The only piece of advice is to embrace all of the feelings however hard they are because they all need processing before moving into another cycle. You are entitled to be angry, sad, scared, heartbroken, fearful and anything else you wish to feel. Don't let anyone belittle this grief and loss. It's so difficult.
Were just about to embark on our third cycle after 2 failed fresh ICSI cycles.
Awww thank you so much for your reply. its such a weird feeling isnt it, to grieve something that wasnt there in first place but the life you thought u were about to have. wishing you lots of luck on tbis 3rd round xx
Hey I'm sorry to hear your treatment was unsuccessful. It's really emotionally draining, definitely take some time to grieve and to let yourself heal. I have stage 4 Endo and I improved my egg count after my first round by switching from the long protocol to the short protocol. I had 4 eggs on the first round, then 12, 10 and 7 on my last round (4th round) which was my successful round. My issue was egg quality as I had 3 unsuccessful transfers before my transfer worked. The changes I made for my successful round were having a laparoscopy, taking coq10 for 3 months before IVF, and I also took testosterone for 3 weeks before IVF (the clinic prescribed this) and switched to an anti inflammatory diet. I did 40 days of down regulation on the pill and then the short protocol. Some combination of the above produced much better results for me, but it was a lot of trial and error. Definitely ask your clinic what changes they would recommend for the next round even if you don't want to use them again. I switched to a clinic which had more expertise in Endo after my second failed cycle. Sending support your way x
Aww thank you so much, can I ask if you took 600mg of uquinol? and which brand. also which clinic was you at that? I did have a laproscopy but 2 years ago now, i assume the endo must of returned. so glad it worked for you in the end xxx
Thank you so much. Don't give up hope, it can take some time but I think working with the clinic to get the right protocol and the supplements and priming meds (testosterone) really improved my results in the end. I took 100mg of the Revive Ubiquinol Coq10 capsules. I had my lap in Oct 2023 so it was 8 months before my last round. I'm in Ireland so I'm at a clinic in Dublin which unfortunately doesn't have any clinics outside Ireland but happy to give you the name if you want. x
