Awaiting Period Post-Norethisterone

I have a vacation coming up in early August, and my usual period would fall during that time. Therefore, I took norethisterone for two weeks this month, three times a day, hoping that my period would start soon after stopping the medication. This way, my period would be over before my vacation.

However, it has been three days since I stopped taking norethisterone, and my period has not yet started. Is this normal? My cycle is usually 28 days.

Is there anything I can do to induce my period? Have any of you tried methods that have worked for you?

Hi,

I take norethisterone to induce periods due to pcos. In my experience it generally takes about 3-5 days for a period but I believe it can take a little longer.

Everyone is different but it can vary quite a bit may take as long as 7/ 10 days If no bleed within 3 weeks maybe you should get in touch with your clinic
