COVID positive after fet

Hey all, I’m so upset. Started feeling unwell and decided to take a COVID test and tested positive 5 days after my fet. So another one down the drain. I’m a mixture of angry, resigned and just numb. Another wasted embryo (my first two transfer failed to implant).

Thank you. I’m trying not to freak out and remain calm. On the plus side, symptoms are mild.

Why do you say that it’s wasted? I wasn’t aware Covid affected implantation. I would have thought it’s extremely unlikely to be the case.

I appreciate it’s a worrying time, but people fall pregnant while poorly all the time. If it’s a viable embryo then it’ll find a way to implant, sit tight and hopefully your test day will come round soon. Good luck and Get well soon x

Thank you! Now that I’ve calmed down and talked to my RE she let me know that as long as I keep any chance of fever at bay, I’ll be okay and it shouldn’t affect any possible implantation.

hi, I got norovirus on day 6 post transfer and honestly I was vomiting every 40 mins for 8 hours, I definitely thought no little embryo could survive all that disruption but she did and I’m now 35 weeks! I also got covid at 12 weeks.

Please don’t assume it’s over, I know it’s worrying but after my own experience I realised that if the embryo is going to stick then it will. Good luck, try and rest and recover and look after yourself xx 🍀🍀
