Slow growing follicles

Anyone got experience with late or slow developing follicles?

I am on day 6 of stims and went for my first monitoring scan but only one follicle had grown to a decent size. They could see 6 other follicles there but they were tiny. Wondering if anyone has had similar experience on their IVF cycle and whether the small ones caught up.

Hi BlahBlah55 I also has slow growing follicles. Due to my PCOS the clinic were very cautious and I increased my meds very slowly and ended up stimming for just over 3 weeks before collection. It worked well for us we ended up with 5 embryos suitable for freezing and currently 18 weeks pregnant with transfer number 1.

Ah congratulations!!

Thanks for sharing, that is reassuring to hear - I hadn’t realised you could stim for so long. I’m already on a high dose as I have low reserve but if it’s still slow growing tomorrow when I’m scanned I might ask about introducing another stim as I know some people use two together.

Still early in your treatment cycle - hope difference noted by time of next scan If not clinic may increase your dosage
