Just looking for some info. My last transfer at the end of February ended in bfn and my period came once I stopped my meds. I am now on day 37 of this cycle and my period hasn't arrived yet.
Has anyone else experienced a delay in a period after treatment? If so how long before it showed up again?
I know it will come eventually but just curious as after my last transfers it always came on time!
My hubby and I have abstained this month so definitely not pregnant unless by divine intervention!
This is completely normal. The meds take over your cycle, then you bleed when you come off them, but it isn't a true period. Like with the pill, the bleeds you have are not true periods. The following month of no meds is when you true period returns and it is often delayed. So far I have had 5 unsuccessful transfers and my second bleed (the first real period not the one that comes a few days after stopping meds) was delayed every time. On my fresh round, the following cycle after stopping all meds and having a bleed was 51 days. The first real period after each of my frozen transfers my cycles were 36, 38, 37, 36 days. So about a week late each time for me and it could be longer depending on your normal cycle.
It's just your body getting back to normal, try not to worry.
Thanks for your comment! My period came as normal after all my failed or early mcs and even after my son was born. The body is a funny thing so I will just have to be patient! Thank you for your help!
Definitely can be normal! More so after fresh cycles for me. Not to scare you but I would do a pregnancy test just in case. I’ve known of people with BFN on OTD (esp if OTD early) who had bleed then and then nothing, turned out to be ectopic pregnancy with low HCG to start hence the BFN. Best just double check. Then keep all the healthy lifestyle things including regular sleep and reducing stress and 🤞🏼will come along soon xx

after my failed fresh cycle my period was late. I was tracking and I ovulated 10 days late so my period was 10 days late. I was advised this is normal, especially with a fresh cycle as following egg collection your ovaries have already worked so hard to produce so many extra eggs the previous month. I know for me it made sense! X
I had similar happen, Mercury. It was 50 days after my period came following treatment the last time, and currently day 37 this time round! Just rolling with it and letting myself reset.
