When speculum was pulled out a coconut sized sac came out.
What could it have been?
I keep getting nightmares of a 3 month baby sac pulled out from outside the uterus due to blocker tubes only logical answer as ectopic is not ussually detected on ultrasounds.....

Hi. Oooo sounds like a horror story. The speculum only opens up the vagina, it can’t get in the womb.. if you had aborted, surely you would have been bleeding. Goodness knows. However it looks as if you need to be rid of your tubes before IVF because of lubrication from tubes dripping into womb and preventing embryo implantation. Did the sonograper send it to the lab, I wonder. It’s a mystery. Diane
I don’t know if this helps but my ectopic was 3cm and was picked up pretty quickly on ultrasound. It was also send off to be confirmed that it was in fact an ectopic pregnancy and not something else.
Happy to answer any more questions if you have any. Hope you get some answers x
could it be the sheath covering the USS probe that you saw and it had come off the probe?
Ectopic pregnancies by definition have to be diagnosed either on ultrasound (most common now with high resolution scans) or at laparoscopy. Otherwise they are pregnancy of unknown location (PUL). A 12 week pregnancy would be visible by then and would almost certainly cause bleeding or pain.
