Prostap - Longer than normal bleed?

Hi All!

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this… is it normal? I had my prostap injection on 4th March for down-regulation and my ‘period’ started on 11th March, bang on normal schedule. However, my period usually lasts about 4/5 days, starting off light, going heavy and then finishing light. I have endo, so it always heavy for a few days. I would have expected it to finish on Friday, however I am still having a light bleed. It’s not constant, it seems to vary from pink to red and is only there when I wipe. This is my first round so not sure what to expect! I am meant to start taking my stims tomorrow. Is this normal after a prostap injection?

I'm experiencing the same, had my 1st prostap. My cycle usually lasts 5 days, I'm on day 9 and still spotting. Also wondering if l should expect my cycle after the 2nd injection.

Hi, I’ve experienced the opposite however I don’t believe mine is the most common reaction!! I had a Prostap injection on 9th Feb, and haven’t had a bleed. It seems to have gone the other way and quietened down my system too much! So, until my periods re start I can’t start my oestrogen. Very frustrating and hoping it starts when due on 11th April.

I would ask your clinic what they think. I would imagine the spotting will stop as you progress on your other meds.
