Hi All,

Ive just had my post screen results and found out I have 6.3 AMH which the nurse said was on the cusp of low at 6 AMH. If I'm honest I was really surprised at this and didn't expect it. I'm 33 and consider myself healthy, I know that has no bearing on egg reserve though.

I wonder if anyone could tell me how many eggs and embryos could be expected given my results and age etc? I just want to prepare myself as at the moment I'm going to worst case in my head.

my partners AMH was 7 - she got 11 eggs, 6 were mature which resulted in 4 embryos. After two years of supplements and 4 failed transfers, she was testing again and it had gone up to 9. Recent cycle - 13 eggs collected, 8 mature resulting in 6 embryos.

My AMH was high - I think 28 at the age of 35 - I made two embryos with 7 mature eggs.

Hi Looom. An AMH should be 15 at your age. 6.3 is a little low, bu usually quite usable with correct stimulation for your partner. Depends how well she stimulates to know how many eggs would be harvested, but average around 6. Good luck . Diane

It’s so difficult to predict. Mine was 11 at 34, then less than two years later had dropped to 2.1. My first collection at 34 I had five eggs, then my fourth collection by 37 I had four eggs. I was always a poor responder, don’t think my AMH helped but my AFC was very poor.

I would imagine my AMH has probably dropped off the bottom end of the scale now I’m almost 38.
