low progesterone 6 days post transfer

hi everyone I had spotting once on Saturday and on Monday had a progesterone test. My progesterone is 49 and the nurse said they would like it to be 80 . They have given me lubion injections for the next 4 days but test day is in 4 days. I am thinking my chances are now extremely low for a positive outcome . It’s my first cycle and a fresh one and I just now feel so deflated . They said said they didn’t check it before as they felt it was unnecessary in a fresh cycle . Anyone ever had success this far in .

Hi - don’t worry, spotting is normal during this time. My first fresh cycle failed, it ended in and early bleed and my clinic didn’t check my progesterone either. My FET they did and I didn’t spot at all but got pregnant, however it ended in an early miscarriage. My recent fresh transfer made me anxious and quite paranoid about it ending the same way as my first fresh transfer so I asked them to test my progesterone - it was high enough on transfer day, however dropped to 50 only 3 days later and 6 days later I started to spot again. This caused me a huge amount of panic but due to my blood result, I got put into lubion too. That transfer was a success and I’m currently pregnant but it’s still really early so still waiting for bloods to be monitored.

Try not to worry too much, it seems like you got it sorted quickly enough and there’s every chance it was implantation bleeding! You could still keep checking progesterone levels too if it makes you feel better like I did.

Good luck, I really hope it works for you x

I say don’t worry but my username is exactly accurate for me 😂😂

I love your user name! That’s me too! So pleased for you that your last one worked! Because it was Saturday I didn’t call the nurses and didn’t email until Sunday with a response Monday . The out of hours nurse would not have responded over the weekend and I had been told spotting was normal . Only to have the nurse tell me I needed to come in . I have started lubion today but I feel it’s too late and I’m trying to save a losing battle . No spotting since that one time on Saturday but also no more symptoms . Apart from massive boobs! From the progesterone!

Haha it’s so hard not to worry but I have really found this forum so helpful.

The other thing is symptoms! I had absolutely nothing on my first fresh apart from a constant headache and stomach cramps. My FET, I was falling asleep on the couch, my boobs were too sore to touch, I had a mild headache and mild cramps and it was a pregnancy, although ended badly. This one, I had a pretty consistent headache for the first 10 days or so, alongside cramping and spotting on day 6 so all pretty much the same as my first transfer (although headache and cramps weren’t as bad) and it’s been a pregnancy again. Every transfer is different and even my mum said she had two different pregnancies (natural) between myself and my brother so you just can’t ever tell. Progesterone has a lot to answer for too because it’s gives similar symptoms to both pregnancy and period!

It’s a good sign that there wasn’t any more spotting, with my first one it got gradually more and more so you’re might just be implantation 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
