Hello, I had a FET transfer. After the transfer they took my bloods and the following day I found out my progesterone level was 7 (!) My clinic like the level to be 50 plus.
This was obviously quite shocking and upsetting to be told this. I was called back into pick up a progesterone injection but I worry that for the first 24/28 hours I had virtually no progesterone in my body.
It feels like this will be a wasted cycle which is so upsetting. The hospital have said they try and rescue it by adding progesterone and my levels should rise but it feels too little too late.
Has anyone else had any experiences like this?
Why don't clinics test the day before transfer? (I'm at a very well known and respected private clinic in london)
It's heartbreaking thinking it could have been prevented.

Try not to worry too much for this round. My level was 21 on day of transfer which although I appreciate is higher than yours, is also lower than they’d like and my clinic also like 50. I also started progesterone injections that day and the clinic said that levels increase pretty quickly after that. Keep everything crossed for this cycle and you just never know xx
my clinic asked me to check the progesterone level on day of transfer/day after, so imagine there are still a few days where it can be rescued, otherwise they wouldn't go ahead with transfer if they knew from the outset it had not chance if the progesterone was low?
Yes you could definitely be right. It's just the dreaded google (and i know I shouldnt be googling) but lots of studies say levels on the day affect the outcome.
also just seeing the nurses reaction of 'oh dear' made me a little anxious. I think they presume it can be under but not under the amount I was
I discovered recently that my progesterone on the day after transfer was quite high and mr google said that may not be compatible with implantation!!! if i had seen that at the time i would have freaked out, so completely understand. i think the most important thing is that they put you on Lubion ASAP and have it re-checked to ensure it is raising appropriately. I know from being on another forum that many clinics don't even check! best of luck in your journey X
Hi. I just had my 2nd failed implantation (FET 5 days blastocyst). My Progesterone was above 60 the day of the transfer. What is too high? The clinics don’t give you much information at all. I just want to make sure that I know what the progesterone level has to be for my next transfer (on the day of FET)
Over around 60nmol/l is what my clinic like my levels to be. Some clinics like it over 100nmol/l so dont panic about it being too high. Better to be higher than lower in my experience!!xx
