So, my 41 yr old daughter had a poor expectation following her stimulation scan with only 2 follicles out of 8/9 responding. Total shock at egg collection on Friday with 6 eggs!! Clearly at least 4 of the unresponsive follicles had ‘rallied’ in the 48 hrs from scan. 4 eggs have fertilised - we are on day 4 today. Still some hurdles ahead but also hope.

UPDATE
Yay this is amazing news! I have been following your daughter's journey and wishing her all the best. Such a great fertilisation profile and hopefully a good chance for a transfer tomorrow.
She’s opting for a frozen transfer this time as she wants to test the embryo(🙏) and give her body a rest before transfer. She has only ever had fresh 3day transfers at her previous clinic, so she is in completely new territory for her final IVF attempt.
Just wanted to wish your daughter good luck with her treatment going forward She is lucky to have such a supportive mum on hand
Take care

fantastic news, keeping my fingers tightly crossed for her x
Day 5 - my daughter has just had the call - from her 4 fertilised eggs she has 1 ‘good grade’ blastocyst that will be tested today and 1 slightly behind that they are going to re examine tomorrow, if it catches up they will also test. This is such a bonus after seemingly poor stim results this time last week!
Onto the next hurdle (Frozen Transfer) at her next natural cycle - all being well with testing of course.
There’s always hope ladies 💛
DAY 6
My daughter had a call from her clinic this morning - the 2nd embryo got to blastocyst and is good enough grade to also test. Then the shock - a 3rd embryo behind the other 2 at day 4 has also pushed on and is also at blastocyst on day 6! So she has 3 potential transfers depending on test results. Thus us the best she has ever had in 5 attempts so we pray for a positive outcome 🙏
