Follicle quantity ??? Good , Bad or normal??

I probably sounding really daft but here goes - Is the number of follicles the number of eggs??? Had a scan yesterday 22 follicles on left ovary and 15 on the right. Still all under 15mm so another 2 days of meds, then another scan tomoz to see if ready for egg collection on friday. Is this quantity a lot?? or normal??

That’s a big number of follicles. Not everyone contains a mature egg though. Good luck. X

What size do they have to be to mature? x

Hi I think they look for between 17 - 21mm follicles x

It’s normally over 18mm but even if they’re big enough they still may not all have eggs. It seems like you have a really good number though to give you a good chance. X

When I had my scan (not for IVF or anything, just to make sure there weren't any obvious problems as we've had recurrent early losses), she said I had about five on each I think, and said that was good so yours is amazing going by that
