Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me in terms of early testing.
I was instructed to do a pregnancy test today by my clinic which is 9 days post double FET. My test was negative so I informed my clinic who rang me two hours later to say they had given me the wrong test date 😱 and I should re-test on Wednesday which is 11dpet.
Has anyone had a negative test at 9dpet then gone on to get a positive result two days later?
I have spent the whole morning feeling really upset, disappointed and have been trying to come to terms with the negative result. I’m not sure how to feel now I have to retest. Is there any hope?
Thank you 🙏🏼

There is always hope! I think quite a lot of people on here do get late BFPs around day 11 / 12.
I've never been that lucky - I tend to get a true result by about day 7 / 8 - but I have also been through a fair few and know my body and how it feels.
So you never know. It if was me, I would probably start to deal with the BFN and if it does change that what an amazing bonus.
Thank you for your kind reply. The cruel thing is, I kinda know it hadn’t worked all weekend so I’ve been coming to terms with it. I wasn’t even upset at seeing the negative this morning and was off to the gym but after the phonecall from the clinic saying it could be late implantation, I’m back to square one and really upset. It’s dragging out the inevitable. I now have to test on the same day that I had a BFP last year 😞
Thanks again for your reply and hope everything is going well with you.
It's unfortunate that there was confusion about the test date from your clinic, which only added to the stress.
Sometimes, it takes a little longer for the pregnancy hormone levels to rise enough to be detected on a test. So, there is still a possibility of a positive result.
In the meantime, try to take care of yourself emotionally and physically. It's okay to feel a range of emotions during this time. Stay hopeful. All the best. xx
I have seen people on here not get their positive until much later, day 12 negative and then day 13 positive... But I do generally think by day 9 it's an accurate result IF it was an EARLY test. If it was the one the clinic gave you then you have a bit more chance as they are not very sensitive. I'm sorry this is happening just adds to the emotional roller-coaster even more. You want to come to terms with it, but you don't want to get your hopes up, but you probably can't help it a bit!! Hope you've got someone around you for the next few days xxx
Thank you for your kind message. My clinic doesn’t give out pregnancy tests, I used my own which wasn’t a brilliant one but I know that it will be negative again tomorrow so plan to do lots of nice things today and try to forget about it all. The clinic havent been the best which makes everything that little bit harder 😞 Thanks again for replying. X
