Hi,I am planning to go for a IVF after two, three months.
Can I know the total time duration roughly?
Because I recently joined my company for work and have to inform them before I start the process.
Hope a clear answer A to Z.
Thank you💜

so total time of treatment can vary depending on your protocol. You find the stimulation phase and egg collection is usually relatively quick over 14 days or so but depending on protocol you might need medication in the previous month. If you have a fresh transfer it’s usually 5 or 3 days after egg collection. It’s probably best to ask your clinic exactly what they are planning medication wise.
As an example I was on a short protocol where I was told I would start April/May last year. I then started stimulation drugs mid May on day 3 of my cycle and continued these until day 10, with two scans before going to egg collation on day 12. I had to have a freeze all due to overstimulation so then my embryo transfer wasn’t until August.
That’s was just my experience and of course different clinics will have different protocols and can even be different between individuals!
Hi Shanik, it differs for everyone but I started this round after my October period which was followed by down regulation meds, then stimulation and egg collection in November. I didn’t have a fresh transfer and because of Christmas then had frozen transfer in January. So about 3 months not including any waiting times. Also just to add I don’t think you are under any obligation to tell your employer unless you want to, until you are pregnant. I haven’t told mine but I know some women prefer to.
