I was so delighted to finally have my first positive pregnancy test last weekend after 3 rounds of IVF and 2.5 years of trying. I am now 5 weeks. However I’m really concerned I have / am having a miscarriage as have had moderate cramp since thurs eve. It’s more mild today than moderate and have been spotting (only when I wipe - sorry TMI) today. My doctor has advised only going to my EPU / A&E at the weekend if I get heavy bleeding. Has anyone else had spotting / cramps in early pregnancy? Many thanks in advance xxx

I had bleeding and mild cramps at 6+1 and have been spotting a little since then. The Hospital scanned me and saw my twins, but saw nothing that showed why I had bleed, no sign of it in fact. And they said that bleeding and spotting at very common.
i spotted from 6 weeks until 11 weeks. It was mostly when i wiped and a light pink/brown. Also had some cramping which the hospital put down to everything stretching and ovaries being big after ivf. Is your clinic planning on scanning you soon? X
I’m having a scan on the 19th so not too long to wait. Hopefully the cramping is just everything stretching. Many thanks for your reply. Hope all well with you. X
I’ve been having spotting for 10 days. Went to EPU and got a scan which showed all fine and no reason for bleeding. Was told not to worry unless the bleeding got heavier or l got slot of pain. It’s hard but try and stay calm. Xx
i went away 6 weeks after i found out i was pregnant and whilst showering, i looked down and there was a massive pool of blood running down my legs and all around me. (id been having bad cramping at this time too) Me and my partner were sure something bad had happened, so once we got home we had a scan and everything was fine!
It just turned out it was implantation bleeding which is completely normal at around 5-6 weeks.
I'm now 31 weeks with a healthy baby girl.
i wouldn't overly worry about it, It'll only put stress on your little miracle
Thank you its good to hear your story, that’s reassuring to know and so glad you have are having a healthy baby girl. I agree there is no point worrying too much. Just wish the spotting would stop!xx
