IVF abroad - how much leave is required?

dear all,

I am thinking of planning one or two cycles abroad with added PGTA. Has anyone been abroad for IVF and can advise on how much leave I would need and how long I’d need to stay there. UK clinic is proving very expensive for us but we need to figure out flight and hotel costs and expenses to see if we can afford it. Looking at Portugal clinic atm, any experience gratefully received x

hi Coffeeone! We are with a clinic in Prague and we have done two icsi cycles with pgt-a testing. I was on a short protocol twice. My clinic does two scans on day 7 and day 10 of stimms. For the first scan I usually stay in the UK and get it done here and we have to fly out for the second one ( clinic policy). On my first stimms I had EC on day 13, second time on day 15 as my follicles were growing a bit slower. We flew out on day 9 as the scans are usually in the morning and flew back a day after EC to be on the safe side. I hope this helps! Good luck!
