I have 2 sessions of reflexology booked for my FET. She can’t fit me in until 6 days after for the second session. Is that too late?

Reflexology for FET
Do you mean 6 days after you have transferred? Personally, I would not be having any treatment in the 2ww. Often therapists themselves only treat women after the first trimester to be on the safe side. I would suggest you research this for your own peace of mind. Good luck x
Hi Doodlebug, I don’t think it’s too late. I had fertility reflexology twice during my 2ww and every week during my first trimester and I’m now 19 weeks pregnant. I found it so incredibly relaxing and that was a massive benefit for me. Best of luck with your transfer! x
I’m really tight on funds now I’m at transfer number 5, so I’m trying to add in what I can and will hopefully benefit me on a very limited budget 🙈
My Dr says I have no issues, which is good, so I’m trying to do all I can to get my BFP. I’ve been stressed from an abusive relationship, then a relationship breakdown and stress at work, so I’m trying to get my body nice and relaxed now I’m in a much better place mentally.
I had a massage yesterday, then having reflexology 4 days before transfer, accupuncture right before transfer (at clinic), and then reflexology 6 days after transfer.
Thankyou for stating your positive story and congratulations! 👶🏼 ✨ 😊
it’s acupuncture that should be directly before and after FET. Reflexology doesn’t have the same studies around it for IVF it’s just nice to have as it relaxes you which of course is beneficial. I think 6 days after would be fine as that is when your anxiety will prob be beginning to peak again. Having said that I had fertility reflexology and I paused through my TWW. But I think it would have been fine to have.
just a question how is fertility reflexology different from standard? I had one session for the first time the other week and found it really relaxing. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in my area offering fertility specific reflexology. I was hoping if this transfer works to book some sessions in as find the wait for scans very stressful to see if viable. The reflexologist said usually they don’t recommend in first 12 wks incase of miscarriage, I spoke with her and asked if she would mind doing sessions (I’m pretty sure there are no negatives to feeling less stressed!) and she has agreed to do sessions if I like
I googled fertility reflexology and was shocked to find someone in my area. She only does reflexology so it’s her specialism. So instead of doing basic in various things like reflexology, massage, facials etc, she has trained in various different types of reflexology.
She explained yesterday that the first part of the session was the standard treatment for my body, and then the second part was specifically for fertility. She had also recommended at least 1 session before and after transfer. The first part was very relaxing and tbh to me like a lovely foot massage 😂 The second part she said might feel more sharp (which it did), and I could feel her doing something different which did feel like she was targeting specific areas.
If I could afford it I’d have a session every week, but I’ll definitely be using her WHEN I get my BFP to help me chill during the wait for first scan 🤞🏼
