Mini IVF

Hi lovelies

Has any heard or better still undergone Mini-IVF (minimal stimulation IVF) using Clomid? I'm currently abroad to get a hysteroscopy done and a doctor I've seen here has recommended this method due to my age and low ovarian reserve. I've done some reading and I understand Clomid to be an established fertility drug to induce ovulation. Just wondering why this is the first I've heard about it and why no-one I've seen so far has recommended this mini-IVF protocol.

I'd love to hear from anyone that has tried this protocol especially any success stories.

Baby dust to all

🙏

I was on clomid before my egg collection and then did a natural frozen transfer (no hormones). It worked and I had a positive test, but miscarried soon after for non-hormonal reasons.

My clinic are specialists in natural and low med cycles. Not sure if I can post the name but feel free to DM me if you'd like to.

I used clomid to stimulate ovulation as wasn't ovulating properly.I did 4 rounds of clomid and it definitely helped with ovulation and I did fall pregnant but had an early miscarriage. I found on the last round that I struggled with some minor side affects like mood swings and headaches (I get these anyway but they seemed to be worse) so I was swapped to letrazole which after one cycle I fell pregnant and now have a 7 month old.

Can I ask were you not ovulating before or was ovulation just erratic?

Congratulations on the little one

I wasn't ovulating regularly I was told it would help. My periods were very irregular I could go months without and the clomid seemed to bring it into a clear cycle. I had a higher dose of it as the first round did nothing so they upped it.

what other drugs are they suggesting to use with the clomid? For my next protocol they have suggested a combination of low Meriofert and fostimon (75mg) with clomid (150) I’m not sure at all as I can’t find any info on it anywhere.

Just clomid as far as I'm aware

Wondering as old women if clomid might actually benefit me by keeping ovulation happening on a regular basis. At the moment my cycles are not consistent

hello, incase this helps I stumbled on an article about using clomid in “mini IVF”, like you said it seems to be an option particularly for those with lower egg reserves or ladies who are 40+ fertstert.org/article/S0015... I haven’t done this myself but I had heard about this from a U.K. based consultant as an option for future egg collections xx
