We have had all our tests done. Unexplained Infertility. We are both 41 and my amh is 5.4.Just today we got our appt through for a video consultation with the consultant to commence IVF at Ninewells, Dundee 🏴
How soon after this appointment did everyone start their medication? What else happens at the appointment?
TIA. X

We’re at Ninewells too. I’m sure we had our video consultation around early November and we’ve started treatment in my January cycle. So not too long at all on the grand scheme of things! The video appointment was a bit pointless in my opinion. It was only around 20 minutes and the consultant didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. He just went through the basics of treatment. Your notes will go to the consultant to write up your prescription then you’ll get a letter to say phone on day 1 of your [insert month] cycle and a wee treatment diary. You’ll also get a tonne more consents to complete online. All the best and if you have any other questions, just let me know ☺️
I have my appt at Ninewells next week. Might be able to update you more with timings after this. I've literally scanned the whole of the internet trying to find info on timings etc!
the appt has come sooner thatn we thought (which is a good thing!) but we're both curious to have some sort of idea on timings to plan other stuff happening this year.
Our video appointment was end of March i think and I started meds in June, frozen transfer in September. I agree it was a little pointless as we'd already been told all the information and then as it's a nurse led clinic we never saw the consultant again but it was very exciting getting it all started!! Good luck!
I'm very luckily currently 21 weeks pregnant 🥰 so initial round was successful. We've had a great experience overall but I was very overstimulated on the smallest doses possible of all the medication I was given and so I've been feeling odd since about June but all totally worth it.
I think our referral went in on the September and accepted December then video consultation was March and in May I got the letter saying to call when my next period started so treatment started in June. I've maybe put more detailed info in my bio on my profile if you want to check that out too?
