we’ve just had our review appointment and have been told that they wouldn’t change anything to the protocol if we decided to go again. When I questioned my early (6 day) bleeding post transfer and whether this would be a progesterone problem, she said it was very unlikely (note not a definite no)… I asked whether we could have tests if we decided to go again and she said yes.
The consultant really didn’t sell another cycle to us and mentioned a few times about continuing to try naturally, and that because we’ve managed it once, there’s nothing to say it couldn’t happen again (if only it was that easy to think like that).
I know that because they’ve not offered anything different, that my partner will now be drawing a line under IVF😢. He really hates the thought of parting with so much money for the IVF gamble.
On a separate note, I had a big bleed after the failed transfer, ovulated as normal this month but I’m now on day 32 with no sight of AF. She usually comes on day 27/28. Has anyone else experienced later bleeding after IVF? Xx

Sorry to hear your review meeting wasn't what you'd hoped for. Hopefully you and your partner will find a way forward that works for you both.
Re. the delay with AF, last month I had a chemical pregnancy (lost very early), with a reasonably heavy bleed, and this month my period was about 10 days late (it's usually 29-32 days, so it fluctuates a bit, but never by this much).
I am sorry the review appointment was a disappointment. Have you considered changing clinic? The HFEA has a helpful tool to search clinics based on their success rates: hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic...
Thank you - we live in Cornwall and our current (and nearest) clinic is an hour away - the next is another 30 on top of that, so it just wouldn’t be feasible with work and our little boy.
I’m not devastated he’s not 100% in it either, which probably speaks for itself for me, but I just have that niggly feeling that I’ll live to regret not trying again in the future. For now we’re going to enjoy lots of naughty treats over Christmas and give it a rethink in the new year😌 xx
