Today I turned 10 weeks pregnant after my miracle ivf cycle. I admit I am a poas'sr due to my a previous miscarriage and my struggle to get pregnant. So far my tests, including last week had nice dark lines. Today I had a faint line so the maniac in me did a load of tests.
Upon diluting it did get darker. I'm wondering if it's the hook effect however my hcg levels 2 weeks ago were only 8.000 so surely not high enough for hook effect as apparently at that stage your hcg no longer increases every 2 days and can be a minimum 4 days .
I lifted a really heavy object on Friday now I'm worried I'm miscarrying.
Would a test get darker if diluting if I was miscarrying?
Can't get a scan until new year as sonographer is on Christmas holidays on Thursday and epu won't accept me unless I have bleeding. I did have cramping at weekend tho but that's normal throughout my pregnancy but suddenly past 3 days cramping has stopped and just feel no longer really tender there . What's your thoughts. I've attached photos. One is fmu and others are gradually diluting the urine with water

hello, Ive not had a experience with this specifically as I’ve usually not tested past 5 weeks but I feel like I’ve read somewhere not only does your hcg stop doubling but it can also go down as you get further along in your pregnancy. I also personally found that even “the best” pregnancy tests don’t always show an amazing dark line when your hcg is high let alone those test strip things. The fact that you’re getting darker tests with less diluted urine also points to the unreliability.
I know it’s hard, but put down the test strips! With no pain and no bleeding I would be assuming the best. All the best xx
Hi love, my friend’s lines for her third baby completely disappeared a few weeks into the pregnancy but would appear again if she added water to her urine. The little girl is now almost two years old 💕 sounds like you are having exactly the same thing xxx
Pretty sure you know the answer really but your anxiety is taking over (completely understandable)! It can't get darker now so you confuse the lines and cancel out the dye. As you dilute it, it works again, so you are fine! Step away from the tests! If you desperately need reassurance try a private clinic? But the fact it gets darker when you dilute should be reassurance too! And yes cramping is usual!! Lifting something a little too heavy is also unlikely to do any harm!! Try to relax and enjoy being pregnant!!! X
Hi, I think you are doing alright. You should try mot to worry, I knownits not easy. Again,, I read somewhere that the higher the weeks of pregnancy the lesser you get a darker dye and by 15 weeks you will not be getting any die. I'm 21 weeks now, will try this test. I wish you all the best and try not to worry. Again early pregnancy makes one feel sore down there but as pregnancy progresses everything settled down.
