vitamins/supplements to help with implantation/reducing inflammation (endo sufferer)

hiya ! Hope everyone is ok. I’m just planning for my FET in April and I feel I have a nice amount of time to really get myself in the best possible shape. Can anyone recommend supplements they took to help with implantation? Thanks so much xx

congrats on the upcoming FET! Fellow endo sufferer here also wondering the same (I’m doing one early next year too). Are you having any down regulation at all? I had it last time but don’t know yet if they will do it this time.

Also I didn’t take anything other than a pregnacare multi last time. I cut out alcohol and lowered my sugar and caffeine but think I perhaps would like to do more this time.

i also had acupuncture last time.

Sadly it didn’t take back in July but I want to do everything I can this time round xxx

Hiii 👋🏼 thank you ☺️ you too!

I’m going to have a natural FET - providing our embryos come back normal after pgta! (We’re testing 4 and leaving 1 untested)

I’ve had 2 failed fresh transfers, 1 without down reg and one with down reg, untested but 1 5AA & 1 5AB. Both times my endo flared so badly (even with Buserelin down reg), which is why I am trying a natural FET.

I am going to cut out coffee & alcohol too and starting acupuncture as haven’t done it for any cycles. Want to try an anti inflammatory diet and maybe the zita west FET pack. Not sure yet. I’ve heard resveratol (not sure how you spell it) and açai is good for endo sufferers 🤔

I’m having a uterine biopsy in Feb for NK cells, so will see if I need an immune protocol.

It’s so nerve wracking isn’t it knowing what’s best to do!! Sorry to hear about your failed transfer in July, it’s rubbish. Hoping you get some super advice ☺️ xxx

❤️❤️❤️ thank you. I took the zita west DHA before my 3rd EC as well as ubiquinol and some other individual supplements (for the first two rounds, I just used the much cheaper option of a pregnacare pre natal). Will look into your suggestions - I didn’t know zita west did a FET pack!!

So before we do any transfers, our consultant has suggested a mock transfer. We do all the meds, but at the end of it instead of a transfer I will have a uterine biopsy, test for killer cells, an ERA and I think there was another thing to be tested too!

He said he wants to treat the embryos as precious if I’m not collecting more and give them every chance. Hence all the testing in spite of only one failed FET.

My endo also flared after my down reg FET with buselerin!! I ended up in hospital with it. Not nice.

I do hear that stepping up exercise (non existent since my last EC in early Nov) helps and also anything that soothes the parasympathetic nervous system (acupuncture, meditation, yoga nidra). I certainly know that my endo is worse when I’m a nervous wreck! 😂😂😂

Wishing you so much luck on your journey.

You’re right - it really is nerve wracking. Always here if you ever need a chat xx

I took the zita west DHA too and also 600mg ubiquinol and I think it really helped with our egg quality - we had 2 shit rounds before our last.

Ah yes - is the mock cycle will for the ERA? I hope you get some answers! I just wanted to do the NK cell testing and biopsy as I’ve read that having endo can increase NK cells, so kind of want to tick that off and my consultant wont do an immune protocol without testing first. I might end up doing the ERA too but couldn’t really afford it alongside the PGTA this time 🫠 it’s actually great your consultant is so precious about your embryos 🫶🏻

I’m so sorry you ended up in hospital - gosh that’s scary. I had mild ohss second round and 3rd round collected 18 eggs. The morning of egg collection I was doubled over in pain on the floor with a flare up.

I haven’t exercised at all this year 🫠 I’ll add that to the list for Jan. New year resolutions are never ending haha. I’m going on a 2 week hol before transfer so hoping that’ll relax me (maybe I’ll do some beach yoga) 😅 literally trying everything!! X

I’ve got to say my jaw is a little on the floor at the similarity in your year to mine. I was also doubled over in pain before my 2nd EC. They were late taking us in and the pain was unbearable. We got 17 eggs on 1st round, 22 on the second. Both were so painful.

For our 3rd we moved clinic and our consultant gave me steroids during stims as well as changing from Menopur to a lower dose of pergoveris. We got 41 eggs and my pain was SO much better. He also put me on cabergoline for OHSS two days before the EC. The whole thing was just SO much easier, less stressful and way less painful.

So on your question re ERA… I don’t really know yet. Still waiting for the treatment plan to land (and the costs which might make a lot of it impossible!).

But basically he said there would be a mock round at the end of which he would like to do a biopsy, check for killer cells, ERA and also (I remembered!) to check for low grade chronic infection in the uterus. I asked if that surely wouldn’t have shown up on the standard tests run prior to any IVF, but he said it’s a different sort of infection.

On that note, our consultant was off one day during stims and we saw a different one. He had left the NHS because of the way they treat endo (I believe it’s a bit of a specialism for him) and he talked a lot about anti inflammatory diets and the use of certain antibiotics in treating certain types of endo. I only mention because you have it too and I had never heard about anti biotic use for endo before.

Anyway, I digress :)

I will defo look for the ZW FET pack - hadn’t heard of that before. Is it on their website? I’m not with ZW but I do like their book on diet for IVF too.

Hope your holiday is so lovely! Really sounds like you deserve it. Have a look for some yoga nidra on YouTube - it doesn’t really involve any movement. I call it sleepytime yoga. It’s more a sort of meditative practice and it t relaxes me even more than the acupuncture did! And enjoy your holiday :)

We are off to the US for Christmas to see my twin sister and meet her baby girl for the first time. To give you some hope, my twin also has endo and this time last year, that baby girl was just a 5AA embryo waiting to be transferred…. ❤️✨

Sending you lots of love and will let you know if my consultant recommends any further supplements! X

Oh wow our journeys really do sound so similar, we changed clinics after our second round too! With the biopsy they also can test for endometritis which is an infection of the uterine lining I think and they treat it with a 2 week course of antibiotics, I think there is also some benefit for antibiotics with endo too.

sounds like you have a really great plan and a great consultant too ♥️ I’m not sure how good to zita west pack is but I’m going to look into it more - it’s on their website, they have a ‘boost’ version too for anti inflammatory. I was thinking of replacing the probiotic though with the garden of life one as it’s supposed to be really good.

That’s amazing about your sister! And how interesting you’re twins with endo, they do say it is possibly a genetic disease. I always wonder if my sis has it as she has horrendous periods but is much younger and not ttc.

Anyway, have the most wonderful time in the US, will be a very special time. Hope you can switch off a little too. I have heard of yoga nidra but never tried it, so I will do for sure. I’m off to the Indian Ocean so the perfect place 😅🌴🧘🏼‍♀️

My inbox is always open! And pls do keep me posted! As will I. Xx

I do yes I use zita west vitsmin D spray as oil is better absorbed by the body.

There is 15mg of zinc also in the selenium supplement and then I take b12, iron, omega 3 and folate but the ones I mentioned specifically for endo. I didn’t take a prenatal but I’m going start Zita West first trimester now that I’m 8 weeks

Also a good probiotic is good for endometriosis I use JS health

Hi! For my successful FET I took vitamins C and D (spray), zinc, folic acid and oral and vaginal probiotics. I also drank pomegranate juice in the run up and the first few weeks. Very best of luck!

As a fellow Endo/Adeno sufferer I take a multi vitamin in powder form, vit D, magnesium, probiotic orally for vagina and natural kefir yoghurt. No alcohol or caffeine.

I drink cranberry juice, pomegranate juice and tart cherry juice all natural. My next FET will probably be next month or early Feb. Good luck!

in reply toMikki100

Ooh thank you Mikki100 - I’ve read about tart cherry juice, do you get it from biona? Rooting for you with your next FET!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 good luck xx
