Second failed cycle

Got a big bfn this morning! Not as devastated as the first cycle but just trying to figure out In my own little desperate way what is wrong with me!

I had the scratch, went to to accupunture, ate clean and had no caffeine for two months!

The only thing keeping me upbeat is that I have three frozen embryos one being a 6AC

As I am with Islington CCG they only pay for two cycle so I will be funding the frozen transfers as the hospital UCLH have a satellite clinic at CRGH which is also a private clinic and I know that I am lucky as I will not have to go through the whole thing from start to finish not only financially but physically and mentally

Anyway not the most positives of posts in the morning I know just trying real hard not to loose the faith.

Hi im sorry about your negative result. If you dont mind me asking ? What is your diagnosis? Im going for ivf/icsi in September.

It’s a long story! We had ivf ICSI both times. I was born with a vaginal septum which they believed for two years was a double womb and had a small op about 12 years ago which was do remove the septum in the vagina (sorry about the detail)

Four years ago Me and my husband conceived naturally however I miscarried at 11 weeks and the hospital said it may have been due to the dual womb.

Anyway three years later after a gastric sleeve and a nine stone weight loss (no one can say I haven’t worked for this 😆) I was excepted to have ivf as my BMI was within range the doctors said that I did not in fact have a septum but a wall which could be removed! So had the op.

Thanks for replying back. Oh ok i see well at least you know you can get pregnant!🙂 which is a positive 🙂 and you got a couple of blastocysts on ice im very sure the next one will work. Are you going to be on a different protocol for the next one? What did they say your chances were when you started ivf?

They never really said anything about chances just that they are decent embryos and that there is no reason they should not work.

The first round because of the op I knew it would a frozen cycle and I was just on menopur; had the egg collection and then the op. Waited a few months and had the transfer.

Even though I had two on ice from that round I decide to try another full round this time a certodite protocol which meant I also used menopur along with bemfola and had a fresh cycle.

I have one embryo from the first cycle left and two from the last cycle.

Good luck 🍀 with your treatment is it private or NHS?

What have they suggested? ICSI was the option straight off the bat for the same reasons as yours.

I really do hope that you have lots of luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

in reply toPeepers4444

They are saying we could go for either as we are paying.. and me to 🙂 how old are you by the way?

Im so sorry, its massively frustrating to get BFN's and not be able to find a reason why it just doesnt work....Ive had 4xBFN's (2 OE transfers and 2 DE transfers) and eventually got a BFP and we had a miscarriage. Sounds like you have been through a lot to get to this stage, well done on the weight loss, that is a massive achievement in itself!! I know it isnt any consolation but frozen transfers are much easier on the body than fresh cycles and it sounds like you have some good blasts on ice! Big hugs.xx

Our body is very unpredictable and there are many things that we can't explain and understand. Sometimes, bad things are happening to us and we have to learn how to go through them. I think that nothing happens without a reason so our task is to figure out what it was for.
