day 3 update. From the 3 fertilised eggs: one has 2 cells, one has 4 cells and the other has 8 cells. Can I still stay positive?

Clinic says we’re slightly behind where we need to be. I’m praying just one gets to where it needs to be 🙏

8 cells is exactly where an embryo should be at day 3 xx

Thank you. Should all my hopes be on this one continuing as normal or pray for cell 4 to have a growth spurt too 🙏

They can catch up, just know that every time they give you an update it is just “a moment in time snapshot”, it is constantly changing. I’ve had some catch up and others not, x

The 8 cell has developed to early stage blastocyst. Too early to grade but embryo transfer today.

IVF is an art, not a science. Statistically, an 8 cell at day 3 has the best chance of becoming a blastocyst at day 5, but 4 cells can catch up too. My advice is to be prepared for any scenario. My first cycle I got no embryos on day 5, my fourth cycle I got 3 and one is my daughter. IVF is very much a process - sometimes the journey is long, sometimes it’s short x

Brilliant news! My daughter was an early ungraded blastocyst on day 5. Sending lots of luck and strength your way x

Hi Kalover, my clinic don’t actually give a day 3 update as so much can change over the next few days so can cause unnecessary worry, unless obviously there was no good news they would update sooner.

Just want to say good luck with everything and fingers crossed for at least one 🤞🏼xx

we had 4 that grew a little slower. On day 6 they had made it good enough to biopsy and freeze. They graded them 4AA,3AA and 2 3BB! Now just waiting for results!!

Wishing you the best of luck… in IVF, it’s one day at a time! Each day has its own accomplishments… I’ve learned to celebrate each day as it comes. Fingers crossed for you and sending you baby dust!
