Update-10 eggs at EC,8 fertilised&all 8 still there day 3.booked for sat ET!

Hi everyone, update on egg collection. I had 10 collected and 8 fertilised on day 1. Absolutely made up!!

Had the phone call today (day 3 )to grade them (our clinic is good/medium/poor) so surprised and elated that 5 are good and the other 3 are medium !! Couldn’t be more different than my first round (3 collected and only 1 had a 5% chance of transfer success)

There are a lot more hurdles - anything can happen in 2 days! But I’ve got all my fingers toe and anything else that will cross that it stays positive news!! If ever I could’ve done with a wine !!!!! 🤣🤣 it’s my birthday tomorrow so I’m hoping that will give me luck!! Xxxx

Hi Crisps, we had a discussion with our clinic and they suggested for hubby to have additional supplements for at least 3 months to hopefully improve sperm quality. So we are aiming for end of September/October which seems forever away but have to be patient and pray our next cycle is a winning one!

Definitely it’s so worth waiting and giving the supplements a try to work their magic and give you guys the best improved chance. I know it seems sos far away lovely, give yourself a break and enjoy having time to enjoy each other. Even though I know you’d much prefer to be busy with a successful ivf hopefully this road will lead to that. Good luck lovely xxx

When our first cycle failed, I was absolutely crushed. Honestly I never thought it’d wouldn’t work I really didn’t. And then the issue seemingly lied with me.

Me and my husband took extra months out - I didn’t feel ready, I wanted get dhea into my system more and honestly we did loads of things holidays and meals nights out loads of stuff just me and him. I really needed it.

I seriously hope it turns around for you, but then it’s so hard when you have so much positivity it breaks your heart COs you feel like you’ve tricked yourself! Thanks a lot lovely, god here’s hoping!

I’m going bonkers already at 3dp3det 🤦🏼‍♀️ have been sooo tired today and checked my ivf diary and I was the same on the same day on my successful round so got excited but then had terrible upset tum and checked diary and had that on same day as unsuccessful round so got miserable hahaha - must stop checking diary! Both rounds I have known about day 11 after EC so will prob test then if AF hasn’t shown xx

How’s the TWW going? I too have had a poorly tum eg does it have something to do with all the suppositories?(pessaries around the back!!) I’m not sure. I am exhausted too! The less I’m doing the more tired I am lol. I’ve got allllll my fingers crossed for you so much!! Xxxx

Congratulations these are amazing numbers 😀 Just shows every cycle can be different. Gives me much hope as my earlier cycle this year only collected 1 egg. With a change of FSH drugs & the magic ubiquinol am hopeful of better outcome this cycle.

Thank you and thank you!! Feel sad being a year older and still no baby. I took sooo many supplements after first failed ivf including dhea, royal jelly and ubiliquol amongst 16 others! My Meriofert was increased from 225 to 375. You’ve done amazing to keep going and I pray you get your little boys sibling. X x x

Thank you and thank you!! I’m so nervous I just want Saturday to be here already! So no they didn’t freeze any day 3 ones, and to be honest didn’t give me the option to. Possibly unless I’d insisted on asking? Maybe because they were looking too quality, however we all know how easy it is for things to work for the worse. She said “we would discuss if any were suitable for freezing on Saturday” so it’s a bit of a weird one. It makes me feel like I hope it’s not delayed until then and it’s too late. How are you getting on with your transfer times? Anything worked out clearer yet for your May schedule? Xxx

Hey! Hope you had a lovely birthday ☺️ Ah ok I wasn’t sure with freezing on day 3 if it was standard procedure or not. They froze one of mine at day 3 and I had others at day 5/6. When I asked which they would transfer they said they’d attempt to thaw the day 3 and get it to blastocyst stage. So amazing isn’t it. Wishing you lots of luck today. Bet you’ll be sat watching your phone ☺️ Let me know how you get on.

Also not much closer to sorting my dates as still waiting for 2nd period but think it’s on its way 🤞which in a way as it’s so late will mean I can definitely aim for November as transfer and know I’ll be ok for May. Xxx

Heyy, that’s brilliant that they give you so many options hey and have so successfully got various frozen brill news! The embryologist called yesterday and we’ve got another 1 frozen, so we’ve got 3 frozen altogether and 1 transferred. God I hope this works ! That’s good you’ve got your dates worked out and can get sorted isn’t it. Is your period running really late? Your poor body gets so messed up doesn’t it xxx

Hey, yes I’m pleased. I was a bit concerned by grading but having read lots on it, not sure it’s something to be overly concerned about & they wouldn’t freeze if they’re no good at all would they!

Oh that’s excellent that you have more. Hopefully this one will be all you need for now but so good to have more options ☺️ I really hope it works for you too. I’m praying mine works first time as I’ve based so much of next year on that being the case.

It’s finally arrived! It’s made my cycle 42 days, soo long! I’m going away in a couple of weeks so I’m glad it’s out of the way for then. Xxx

42 days wowzers that is long!!! That’s good it’s not there for then , you deserve a good break. I know I desperately hope it does for us both! I know I’ve never had anything to freeze so I’m absolutely delighted. I totally agree, there’s no way they would freeze them unless they’re of a really good quality and condition to thaw out. Plus you hear on this site so much of these “C” grades working and “AA’s” not working ! Plus there is no uniform grading each clinic is different. Mind you, it’s like that with waiting times ours is 10 days HPT and loads are 14 days bloods. So I would just concentrate on your beauties you have freezing!!! X xx x

Yes and no. I’m off work still so literally I’m barely doing anything! I’m reading books, doing coursework nothing much I swear it’s making me more tired lol. God help me when I go back to work I’ll be like a slug 😂 Exactly I wouldn’t worry about it and that’s amazing for your first cycle that’s fab!! Thank you! Defo a different birthday than I imagined. Yes so I hadn’t my Meriofert Increased from 225 to 375 and took an absolute multitude of supplements including on consultants advices Dhea. I took 16 tabs a day I can give you the full list on message if you want! My first round was such a failure I felt dreadful, and this was the test to see if I needed to use donor eggs. When’s your transfer do you think ? X x
