As I post and reply quite a lot on here I just thought I’d share where I’m at.
After 4th failed transfer - 3 BFN and 1 chemical, I now have a date for transfer 5.
Not sure exactly what protocol I’m on cause I’m rubbish at asking questions and just eagerly do whatever the clinic says 😂🙈 Just curious. After the bleed literally days after my chemical, I started oestrogen tablets again, NO Prostap this time, scan on day 13, progesterone bloods day 14, start progesterone pessaries 19th November, transfer is on 24th November -eekkkk!!!! 😊😊😊 Is this classes as natural or modified??? 1 million % trust my doctor as his rap sheet reads like the who’s who of the IVF world!!
I’m also this time having an HCG wash 2 days before transfer. Anyone had this?
I’m also trying to persuade him to do a double transfer as he’s REALLY not keen… feels awkward trying to go against his advice 😳 But, twins would complete my family and I haven’t got the funds to try for a sibling after I get my BFP. I have considered things and also had advice on here. And yes I realise either could also split and make triplets or quads 🙈🙈.

hi congrats on having dates for next transfer🎊so exciting! I think you’re on a medicated cycle?!
It’s great that you completely trust your doctor, that’s a key to have your mind at ease with the treatment! Although trust your gut as well and question him when needed!
As for the double transfer, if you believe it’s something you really want ask for it! They can’t really refuse it’s just some paperwork that needs to be signed from your end.
In my case I feel blessed that we decided to do a double transfer after 3 BFNs!
I find it so confusing with them doing it differently every time but they are the experts not me I guess! I did ask a whole raft of questions before my last transfer which I’m pleased I did.
I am still pushing for double transfer as last time he said don’t like to on fresh. Now it’s FET he’s still resisting! He did say if I insisted there would be consent forms to do, but I just wasn’t sure if he could just refuse. I’m waiting to hear back after my PA said if it’s what I want she will speak to him again.
So you got BFP after 3 BFN then double transfer? I’ve got 6 frosties but can’t face another 6 transfers, emotionally or financially. And twins despite the obvious risks and challenges wouldn’t phase me! Embryos aren’t PGA tested so to me double transfer is double the chance!
Exactly, that was my thinking as well double chance! But it seems both beans sticked this time 🤭 we had an early scan at 4w3d to confirm twins as beta were coming back super high!!
It’s still early days but I hope they both stick with me till the end🤞
Good news! I'm booked for transfer next Tuesday Doodlebug23 so we will likely be testing about the same time. (I think I recall last time your OTD was shorter than mine). Fingers crossed for us both! 🤞
Hey! Just wanted to wish you the best of luck! Really hope this one works for you!
If you want to go for double transfer I’d totally push for it.
In my protocol I always have at least one follicle growing and then we transfer an embryo. The first time we tried naturally and did a transfer which resulted in one baby.
The other times the clinic has really persuaded us not to try naturally and none of my transfers have worked, I wish we had done both and I will always wonder!!! I guess there’s a chance of twins or more but there’s also a high chance of none unfortunately. So if you are happy with the risk of twins I would just go with it.
Thankyou. I’m using DE so it’s just a case of how many. But I’m now spotting so looking like transfer will be cancelled. I’m feeling so like the universe is against me right now 😓
Hey lovely, I’m so sorry to hear that, hopefully it will be ok and you can still carry on. It’s just such a tough journey.
I know you were talking about 2 embryos, I just mean sometimes the doctors use such scare tactics like if you transfer two it will definitely be twins or more, but as many of us ladies know it doesn’t really work that way, and I think it’s harder than they make out to have twins, so I wouldn’t worry about the scare tactics anymore of it were me.
