Restarting IVF

Hi all , we informed the clinic in Italy about the negative after our transfer.. they have put us back on the waiting list which will be about 2-3 months before we can start again . I guess it is what i need after my loss at 21 weeks and then a failed transfer.

I will be spending time with my family back in the UK until then , i suppose that will help me mentally and physically recover. I have already started bleeding .

The doctors in Italy will review my file and place us back on the waiting list until then is there anything i can do? . I have pcos and i didnt respond at all well to the ivf . I was on 112.5 gonal f was that really low? Thats why i didnt respond? .

I have pcos 26 healthy BMI . Are there any supplements i can take for egg quality between now and then?

In the mean time i think i will get my hycosy done aswell . Just for my own peace of mind

Just keep doing what you were doing - eat well - plenty of fresh fruit & veg - cut back on processed foods and sugar Ask the clinic if they can suggest any supplements that would benefit you Enjoy your break and come back stronger and rested

Take care

Hey lovely,

I think 2 - 3 months is a really good amount of time to regroup and start again.

I had my best ever egg / embryo collection after taking 600mg Ubiquinol per day, and also 400mg of NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) - these are both really good to give all the cells in your body energy and I do believe they helped with egg and sperm quality (get your partner on them too if you have one).

I also drank 250ml of full fat milk per day, ate a lot of spinach / watercress and broccoli + fish and chicken - basically a really healthy diet with minimal processed food.

I was reading an article about NAC and it says:

in addition, NAC may improve fertility in older women and those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by inducing or augmenting the ovulation cycle, although more research is needed (21Trusted Source).

i have also decided to take bereavement counselling after my termination so hopefully that will help aswell . I know i need to be healthy before i start this new cycle of ivf afresh

I think that's a really good idea - it might just help you feel more stable going in to this next cycle. xx

Have you tried Omega-3 supplements? I used them in my last transfer and I could see big differences!

Yes i did use them but the transfer did not work

So sorry to hear of your baby loss . Sending love ❤️.

Read the book it starts with the egg . That will give you information on how to increase egg quality . My daughter doubled her follicles before treatment started she was gobsmacked at how it worked

. She is now 5 days pass transfer with hope for a happy outcome .🍀👶good luck with it all x
