Hi. IUI is often reserved for those with a regular cycle coupled with large sperm volumes. Obviously, IVF can b controlled to suit you. See what the experts suggest. And massive luck. Diane
Hi
It's not always a straightforward thing, depends on health issues/age etc. Guessing the breakthrough bleeding could be an issue in IUI for implanting and womb lining. IVF I found they do alot more monitoring of things such as this.
Speaking from my experience I went through fertility as a single female using a sperm donor. No known issues from my side.
I did 3 IUIs unmediated and cost without sperm was around £4000. They were all unsuccessful.
Did a mild IVF cycle, had a day 3 transfer which was unsuccessful and ended up with 2 frozen embryos. current 5 and half weeks pregnant from first embryo transfer. Cost for egg collection, fresh transfer and FET including all meds but not the sperm was approx £6000. There is freezing cost for other embryos.
I found that the IVF mild stims were fine and it actually gave me more confidence in the process.
One of the nurses at my current clinic (I changed clinic after the IUIs) said that IUIs are amazing when they work but just such low odd and so costly when repeating compared to a cycle of IVF and getting multiple embryos.
Good luck with your decision
