hi all, hope everyone is ok. Quick question, I’m one week into buserlin and have just started my bleed before my baseline scan Monday. I am having quite possibly THE most horrendous period cramps 😭 quite unusual for me - is this normal? Anyone else experience the same?
I thought with down reg things are supposed to be a bit ‘calmer’.
It effects everyone differently but cause many symptoms such as headache - hot flushes as it switches off your hormones and this in turn may cause cramp like discomfort Hopefully it will settle soon If still concerned get in touch with your clinic/nurse for further advice/reassurance

Did you raise it at your next appointment? I’m a week into my Buserelin injections and have also just started a very painful period. Be interesting to hear what the reason for it being so painful is.
I did and they said it’s normal, luckily it only lasted a few days, I went for my baseline scan and all is looking good. She said my lining was perfect and ‘thin as a biscuit’ 😅 so maybe that’s why my period was so heavy. Good luck, warm bath and drink lots of water. X
Aah that’s what you want to hear! 😊 I haven’t had any side effects so far but I’m used to painful, heavy periods due to my endometriosis… really hope it’s all working as it should. fingers crossed we don’t have any more periods for a few months 🤞x

this could’ve been me writing this just now. Day 1 of my period today while on buserelin and it’s sooo painful! It must be a side effect x
