Hi all, I have always struggled with painful periods. I have never been pregnant & I am currently struggling. I have had ultrasound scans & bloods and everything is fine.
My cycles can go from 25 days to 35 days, they have became super heavy & excruciating in the last 2/3 years. I feel like there’s something wrong & that’s why I’m not getting pregnant.
Would you continue to push the Doctors for more tests?

My daughter is starting IVF and was recommended acupuncture ( fertility specialist one to help with regulating her cycle ) , she was like you . She says it is working great and she feels great with less pain and lighter periods .
Sorry to hear you’re struggling. Have you had an MRI? If you have heavy painful periods it might be worth exploring Endometriosis? X
absolutely push the doctors, even without the struggling to get pregnant part period shouldn’t be so painful without a cause and it’s sometimes so hard for women to get anyone to actually help sometimes without advocating for yourself and pushing them hard. The fact you have been trying to conceive for over a year should also trigger a referral for investigations for you from them. I hope you get some answers soon xx
Sounds like me hun, and it turned out to be endometriosis in my case. I know of others who also have these symptoms and it turned out to be adenomyosis. Push for gynae support xx
Yea push for tests! I have had terrible periods - sometimes vomiting from pain. At 40 they have just realised that I have endometrial cysts that come and go. I have been complaining since I was 15 and they only discovered it now because of course I never had an ultrasound at the time I had the cysts before. If you have a painful period you want to go right after to catch them. They do affect fertility.
