Hello everyone, I don’t post often but do read how everyone getting on & love seeing posts about success & those still on this journey my heart goes out to you ❤️❤️
After all my losses & still no living child I took some time out to process everything. I contacted my GP who advised there was no further help. Feeling lost I used my private health through work to see a gynaecologist privately. After a laparoscopy & hysteroscopy a week ago today he has found that I actually have a rare condition of a double uterus, one side connected the other not, many other issues too, too many to write here, so I know I am not a straight forward case.
I am baffled how this was never picked up through all my IVF test etc, anyway awaiting an MRI to see if & how the side not connected can be or if it requires to be removed. Then will be another procedure to do the necessary.
As I said I know I am a rare case but please listen to your bodies & push for tests/procedures, I knew something wasn’t right & glad I pursued it even though my GP gave up on me 🥺 Who knows what the future holds for me, going by my issues I doubt I will ever be able to have a child but I am not ready to give up quite yet.
Stay safe, strong & love to you all ❤️❤️

I'm so sorry that your journey has been long and painful. I read up on your losses and my heart totally goes out to you. I can only imagine how despairing you must have felt when health professionals - who we rely on to help us - claim they can't.
I'm really pleased you are finally getting some answers as it feels like something that can be treated and certinaly gives hope for future conceptions.
Thank you for sharing this advice. I have recently been diagnosed with a fibroid with the option to have a hysteroscopy and maybe laparoscopy too - you're story make me feel encouraged to push for all the operations and tests as you never know what you will find!
Take care and best of luck for the MRI what follows x
Hello! This is great you are being offered these procedures. Please please do ahead with them, you never know what they may find & if anything found the quicker you are treated the best chance you have 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 everything crossed for you! ❤️
Hi IVF baby. Yes, this is a rare case, but I remember a similar case that once we got all the information, managed to do IVF through her single cervix into the slightly larger womb, and she was fortunate, it worked! Delivery was by C-section. I do hope you can come back with a similar story. I wish you every success with whatever is decided and you try. Diane
Hi,I'm so sorry for all your losses, it is such a tough journey. Just wanted to say, that like you I knew something wasn't right and used my work private medical insurance. I found out that I had a subseptate uterus, again rare, but was not picked up by any of the ivf doctors. I realise this is not as extreme as your case, but I managed to have it fixed. The insurance didn't cover it, but I went out to Greece, to a clinic where they are experts in it and had it fixed.
I completely agree with you. You have to believe in yourself when you think something isn't right and keep getting tested. That was only part of my problems, but I kept going and although I ended up being too late to use my own eggs by the time I'd gone through all the failures and further tests, I am now pregnant via donor egg. You've come this far. I really hope you get your miracle baby.
I’m sorry to hear what you’ve been through, I completely agree about pushing for tests. I went through multiple rounds of ivf before using my private medical to see a gynaecologist who eventually diagnosed severely blocked tubes. Both are now removed. It’s so tough as a patient not knowing what to ask for and I can’t help but feel let down that things weren’t more thoroughly explored before we went ahead with multiple rounds! I appreciate not everyone is lucky enough to have private medical, such a tough and cruel situation to be in.
