7dp5dt - Did I test too early?

Hey everyone,

First time posting on here, I’m not usually one to post but this is cycle 14 of TTC and our first round of IVF after being told we have “unexplained infertility”.

Both of our tests have all been normal, we had 2 failed IUI and I am currently 7day post 5day transfer (fresh cycle).

I am 30 and I have a normal AMH but they only got 4 eggs (this surprised me I expected more?)

By day 5 we had 1 early blast that was transferred. I haven’t had any major symptoms but just little niggles here and there and a couple of twinges. I have tried to ignore it and told myself it could just be my progesterone suppositories!

This afternoon I give in and tested using an FRER 7dpt and it was a stark white negative.

I’ve spend the rest of the day crying, feeling so defeated and lost and just not knowing what to do next… am I right to think it’s very unlikely that this cycle will be a success? Or could I have tested too early?

I really don’t want to get my hopes up and then be floored by a BFN again. My OTD is 12dp5dt.

Lots of baby dust to you all!!

Hi Becem. Oh dear. Just keep up with your prescribed medication then test on the day recommended by your clinic. Good luck. Diane

things might still change, but definitely do not test again before OTD! Wishing you the very best of luck

Hi, I am on my 3rd BFN with donor eggs due to my age but otherwise previous unexplained infertility. I haven’t bled this time before the day to test so I was quietly optimistic. The BFN was a complete kick in the stomach. It’s so hard the 2ww isn’t it. Baby dust to you

Hi! I think it's to early I would wait to day 9 and make sure it's your first morning pee when it's very concentrated, I'm currently 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant and I felt those twinges and niggles so it's not over yet, stay positive I know it's easier said then done, I wish you the best of luck xx

so I tested 9dpt and it was a stark white negative!

The next day (Saturday) I started spotting and by the evening it turned into what I thought was full flow AF but with no cramps?

Sunday it continued me thinking it was all over and AF was here and then Monday and today it has eased off.

My OTD was Monday so I got my bloods Monday AM and the clinic called me to say congratulations you are pregnant at 4pm!!! As you can imagine after 2 days of heavy bleeding I nearly fell over…. Still completely unsure what to think as I have absolutely no other symptoms but they were not concerned too much. I have another blood test on Thursday to hope that my numbers are rising. Got all my fingers crossed that this little one wants to stick around and the bleeding is nothing to be concerned about 🤞🏼🤞🏼
