I hope life is treating you kindly at the moment...
Not really a question, just a sort of mind dump. After our fourth failed transfer this week, all the heartache it has caused and some unexplained spotting mid cycle, we spoke to our consultant and will be referred for a hysteroscopy.
Having looked at our hospital wait times, I'm now incredibly despondent- looks as though it will be 16 weeks minimum and I feel time is marching on. Privately, it would cost something like £2.5k, which we could afford but saving our pennies for when we start finding our ICSI treatment privately.
Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you manage the waiting and worrying?
Thank you lovelies xx

Hi, I was in same position and ended up going private. It was about the same cost as you mentioned. I think I had an initial appointment and then procedure was about not quite a month later. It might be worth investigating the 3DSIS scan that some ladies on here have had. It’s a 3D scan of uterus and can be helpful. I think from memory people said it costs about £400-500 and doesn’t need to be done under a general anaesthetic. Good luck. Xx
Hi, I was in the same position as you in Jan/Feb. The best thing I found was to chase every couple of weeks to the department (mine was at St Mary's hospital london) and after a few chases stressing IVF is on hold until this is done, they managed to get me booked in for a month later (so was booked for May). There was unfortunately a death in the team which meant that my appt with anaesthetic was delayed but I swapped to without so that I'd be booked back in after 2 weeks and it wasn't that bad. Pain was like really bad cramps for around 1 to 2 hours but if you can just chill and sit, you'll be back to normal after! Then was right back to IVF on my next cycle (which happened to be this past month). Good luck! Xx
Thank you Janet. Yes, I'll see where I get. I've been referred to our local hospital trust so imagine there will be lots of poorly people needing them more than me but we'll see xx
