9th donor egg transfer pending….

So I’ve not been on here in a while due to just needing a break from it all.

We are now planning our 9th Donor egg transfer for October,which will be a year since the last one.

I’m so nervous to be starting all over again, I really can’t find the positives at all,can’t help but think why will this one be any different!?

Protocols just the same really as I’ve already tried everything?!

Clinic basically just saying keep trying as everything seems to be perfect.

Suppose I’m just looking for some success stories,anything really what can give me some hope going into this next cycle.

Anyone done this many transfers and finally got a BFP!??

Read your post and wanted to send you some positive energy.

Looking at your previous posts, I can't see if your protocols as factor in immune treatment.

Have you had any test for immune?

After 6 cycles and quite a few transfers, I tested and found out I have high natural Killer cells and other stuff..

With new protocol, I just got my BFP.

I’ve had intrapilids & steroids on my previous cycles so I think that would cover any immune issues.

Hi there, good luck with your next transfer! Just wanted to add that for many women intralipids and steroids aren't enough, as far as immune treatment goes. Have you looked into making an appointment with a reproductive immunologist at all? X

hi Kimbob,I’ve not no,to be honest funds are very low and I just don’t think we can afford it 😥 we’ve spent all our savings and are in debt with all this over the years xx

Yeah I totally understand that. We've spent more money than I would like to acknowledge. However it's important to arm yourself with information. Have you heard of the book 'is your body baby friendly' by Dr Alan Beer? It helped me understand reproductive immunology and you might resonate with it. Before your transfer I would also recommend trying to lower inflammation in any way that you can as well (from a diet and lifestyle perspective) Wishing you all the best x

Hi, we didn't do as many transfers but were unsuccessful using the embryos from our first donor. However, our second donor gave us twins from the first transfer. It's so hard. We really thought it would be a done deal using a donor and it was heartbreaking when it didn't work. It all worked out in the end though and I am sure it will for you too. Xx

no as we’ve had 2 different donors & 8 transfers so I don’t think it’s an embryo issue x

Had 10rounds of treatment - 7 with own eggs( 2 miscarriages ,5 BFN). 2rounds donor eggs in UK BFN

Was advised by our UK consultant to stop wasting money in UK and go to IVI Barcelona Our last ditch round with donor eggs in Barcelona, we got 1 viable blastocyst that is now my 5 month old daughter 😍

Hi there

They were more thorough with screening tests for me - lots of blood tests, mammogram, smear, and Endometrial receptivity assay (ERA). For hubby - geneseeker tests, bloods, sperm dna fragmentation tests. Found had high fragmentation so used “Fertile chip” to sort sperm.

I took Methylfolate rather than folic acid as it turns out my body doesn’t utilise folic acid ( MTTHR gene mutation I think )

Pre transfer for 1 week before had dexamethasone tablets ( steroid).

ERA results gave a specific 4 hour window forgot embryo transfer for peak receptivity of endometrium - after a specific number of hours of taking progesterone

Overall treatment cost was roughly £7k cheaper than equiv in UK , so even with flights and accommodation it was worth it

We had one trip out for all screening

One trip to fertilise the eggs- ours had been frozen as we were unable to get out when they were collected.

And 3rd trip out for embryo transfer 👍

Just wanted to hold some space for you & all of us still waiting .. we moved clinics & have second donor embryos on ice , after all 5 from previous clinic failed & had ERA … 6 trips to Greece & no bfp 🙃

I dreaded started up again but time is loudly ticking for me , currently 5dpt 😩 .

We used donor eggs too. Our first attempt with one FET didn’t work but our 2nd with 2 embryos did. The 2nd time I didn’t take the steroids but did everything else. I had also switched off mentally as I was really prepared to give up. Feel free to PM if you just want to talk, I’m happy to listen. Sending big hugs of positivity Xx 😘
