Help! Anyone knows a clinic in London that transfers day 3 embryos

I have just been informed by my clinic that they will not allow me to transfer my day 3 frozen embryos if any makes it to that stage. I need to find a clinic that would transfer day 3 frozen embryos in London. Could someone suggest a clinic please?

Hi Lilly,

That’s odd! So they will freeze them for you but not do a transfer?x

They only want to do day 5 transfers

That’s pretty much the norm these days with clinics. Do you have a good number of embryos?

No, only 1 potentially if successful

So if I wait until day 5, there will be none to transfer...

Ah I see. If you don’t mind me asking, if there is only 1, why aren’t you doing a fresh transfer? Why freeze it?

I am 43 and almost zero AMH so I might only have 5 or 6 eggs left. If i do a fresh transfer that ends in a miscarriage, I will be 44 and would have lost 2 or 3 more eggs in the miscarriage. So it’s better to collect as many as possible now, freeze everything and then transfer next year

I understand. I know it’s scary to consider a cycle without a viable embryo but the chances of the disappointment and heartache of a miscarriage, BFN or not surviving the freezing/thawing would be a lot less at day 5 from what I know, especially if you’re planning to freeze everything. Xx

Hmm... So did you freeze then somewhere else Lilly?

They were planning to grow them to day 5 later but i don’t want that as you loose 50-80% if you do this

I’ve never heard of a clinic freezing day 3 embryos sorry. They usually wait until day 5 so they can ensure the embryo is robust and can withstand the freezing and unfreezing process. Xxx
