hi all I got the call this morning from the clinic to confirm they have a blastocyst 5AA so buzzing. My transfer is in the next hour. I’m paranoid I’m going to start my period feeling I know tmi but feeling wet down there so hopefully it’s just some healthy discharge but keep thinking it’s my period. Any tips pre/post transfer I know there’s loads of superstitious stuff McDonald’s chips etc but anyone found anything that worked for them? Keeping feet warm etc? Thanks x
TRANSFER DAY!!! : hi all I got the... - Fertility Network UK
TRANSFER DAY!!!
The important stuff: take your meds religiously if you have any!
The superstitious stuff: wear warm socks, take at least three days off, make sure you get enough sleep. Eat well. I avoided extra sugar for the first 5 days and made sure I could feel pampered. I was on a load of supplements too but it's not advisable to just start those after transfer.
5AA …that’s a brilliant start …wishing you so much luck .
The next two weeks will be mental torture at stages but just take each day as it comes. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞
Hi Jessfm. Well all will be done and dusted by now. Keeping everything crossed for you - eat pineapple core! Diane
How did your transfer go? Was that your first transfer? Wishing you all the best of luck. Now you're in your TWW. My advice is not to test early. And just keep following doctor's orders. No heavy lifting too.
hey, I’ve just had a 5AA transferred too, just had some fries from McDonalds
Wishing you all the best x
oh wow amazing! Here to chat throughout the 2WW if needed. It’s feels so surreal doesn’t it. I just had fries too lol. Is it your first time? Ah thank you you too x
oh thank you, same goes for you.
Yes first time for IVF , it’s all happened so quickly! I was a bit gutted because we had 4 other embryos but because they were 4CC , we were told they wouldn’t survive the freeze so fingers crossed for this one . Hope your transfer went ok x
I hope the transfer has gone very well ! 5AA is a great start ! Just try to be kind to yourself and take one day at a time. Do what you feel comfortable with, in my case I wfh the next day, given the transfer was late in the PM , I walked back and i just rested after that. Went into the office 2 days after and following weeks (I’ve read else where they can sign you off if too stressful), I was a bit scared about long commute and carrying my laptop but it was all ok. I’m fairly active, so I’ve made sure to do loads of walking to help with the stress plus I read is good for circulation. Try to find what works best for you e.g reading or any other hobbies that help to distract your mind from the waiting. Also don’t try too read too much into symptoms xx
I hope it all goes well for you from here , best of luck !!
Urban myths: I did eat chips ( they weren’t McDonald’s but I made sure to put loads of salt on them haha , I also ate the famous pineapple 🍍
