day 3 post egg collection - worried

hi just really worried if anyones had anything similar I’m due to have a fresh transfer on Monday my first round of ivf I had my egg collection 3 days ago and no bleeding at all today I’ve got niggly pains and abit of white discharge with a tinge of pink in it is that normal? I know you can bleed after egg collection but I’ve had nothing upto now say 3 worried I may be starting my period really early due to the stress of the ivf ??

I remember worrying about my period being about to come before my first transfer too. The period-like pains are normal, they are caused by the progesterone. Worth telling your clinic about the pink discharge though - could be irritation post EC or because of the pessaries. In any event, they will scan you before the transfer to make sure everything is OK. Very best of luck!

ah thanks that’s reassuring I should be worried about is my transfer going to work but im worried about coming on my period 🫣 do you know is there a way they can check if you’re coming on? Scan, bloods etc thank you x

Hi Jessfm. The bit of bleeding is probably just trauma from egg collection. The pain could be your ovaries still bring a bit active. Make sure you drink plenty of water and hopefully all will settle down. Good luck. Diane
