Hello, I'm on my first cycle of IVF & so far it's been far better physically than I expected it to be. I'm due to have egg collection tomorrow with sedation. If I was going to be completely knocked out I wouldn't be worried but do you feel anything if only sedated?

Hi Gracie, I don’t remember a thing about it and I was sedated. I remember her saying to close my eyes if I felt a little dizzy and then nothing until later when I was in recovery, apparently I got myself into bed whilst flashing my bum and I don’t remember it at all. Good luck x

I couldn't remember or feel a thing and woke up talking about Rihanna?! A friend of mine was sedated slightly and couldn't feel anything but was able to talk to ask what they were doing! Not sure why it's not consistent! I found this part totally fine and just need a hot water bottle on my belly at home after with some paracetamol for very light cramping. Good luck! Xx

I had my egg collection yesterday!!!
All I remember is them prepping me for the procedure and then saying it might feel cold in my hand in a minute!! I slightly remember the room spinning a little then next thing I was being woken to to my name being called!!

I was fine after but a little pain and discomfort started late last night!! The paracetamol sorted it out though!!
I was supposed to be back in work today but I ended up staying off to rest xx good luck 🍀
Ah bless you. I hope you managed to get plenty of rest today. I'm all stocked up on paracetamol so hopefully I will get comfortable afterwards 🙂
I had egg collection under sedation and I didn’t feel anything and don’t remember anything. I had the drip put in and within seconds I was out, came round coming back into the recovery room.
Try not to worry, you’ll be fine! 🙂

I didn't feel a thing! Apparently the doctor told me how many eggs were collected and I responded but when I woke up fully I couldn't remember a thing!

I didn't feel a thing with my sedation either. Just the coldness of the drugs going up my arm and then out like a light! Next thing I remember I was coming round in recovery. Good luck xx

I didn’t feel a thing and can’t remember very much from the day. When I went back to my cubicle my hubby videoed me bopping away to the radio 🙈 xx
