4m2 + 1gv eggs but only 3 oocytes fertilised

morning all, I had 4m2 + 1gv oocytes but the embryologist advised only 3 oocytes fertilised - can anyone advise what typically may have happened to the 4th oocytes please ? Many thanks

It Is important to remember that not all eggs will fertilise , and not all embryos will develop enough to be transferred Ask your clinic /embryologist to explain this fully to you
