Can you use IUI for low sperm motility?

Hi,

My partner has low sperm motility. We found this out by getting tested at an IVF clinic. They instantly offered us IVF. We have had 2 failed rounds. Well one was an early misscarraige. I was wondering if anyone has had IUI for low sperm motility. Are the IVF clinics trying to get as much money as possible by not offering this treatment first? Just feeling like even though icsi has been used ivf isnt working for me. There's no reason for them not implanting in me that they have found.

Perhaps IUI is just not enough for male factor infertility.

Any experiences welcome xxx

Hi Ivfhopeful. Not really, as the sperm need to swim strongly to get into tubes and the egg. Sometimes there can be enough strong swimmers to use, but you need lots. Diane
