How quickly did you get a positive test post embryo transfer with HCG injection on day of transfer?

Hi I know I should be testing but I can't help it. I'm 4dpt of a 4AA embryo. I have low ovarian reserve so I'm lucky to have even got this far. As you can imagine my anxiety is quite high. I'm having real period like pains (it would normally be due tomorrow) and fatigue. Day of transfer I had another HCG shot ( a quarter) not the full syringe. Anyone else has this? And when did you start testing or get a positive? Absolutely paranoid my period will start tomorrow. Many thanks.

Hang in there! I had period like cramps for the whole first trimester of my pregnancy. They went away as soon as I stopped the progesterone. I have not had an HCG injection, so don't know the answer to your question. Got my BFP on day 8 after a 5-day embryo FET. Good luck!

Thank you so much. Your response was really helpful. This is my first transfer so it's all a complete whirlwind. I've been trying to keep calm, the cramps and one sided pains have thrown me off a little. Just hoping I'm not out already. Xx

Hello, did you test everyday prior to day 8 or was that the first day you tested? :)

Day 8 was the first day I tested.

heya. Remember the HCG injection can stay in your system and come up as a false positive up to 10 days after the injection - so if you can, avoid testing early, as you won’t know if it’s a real result or the injection.

I still saw the trigger shot 10 days after I took it - but then by 12 days after the trigger the lines were getting darker rather than fainter, so I knew it wasn’t the injection anymore…. (But I took the trigger 5 days before transfer, so a different timeline to you).

Good luck! 🤞🤞💫

Hard to do but best wait for your OTD before testing Try to keep yourself busy - read a good book - go for walk - watch old films Take any meds you were given as directed Eat well - drink plenty of fluids and rest when you can

Take care and good luck
