How early have you had a positive post 5 day transfer?

hi everyone, hope you’re all ok.

I’m 5dp5dt, I’m tempted to early test, I know it’s too early.

What’s the earliest you’ve had a positive? X

Hi,

I had a very faint line almost impossible to see at 5dp5dt with my first, and then a good clear line at 6dp5dt with my second (currently 7w6days).

That was using frer tests.

If you can hang on until test day I would suggest that, but of course I know it's not that easy!

If you do test early and don't get the result you want, just remember you're not out, it might just be too early!

Goodluck xx

thanks for taking the time to reply. Previously I’ve tested at 7 days and it was on a cheap test but it was positive. Not sure how good the one step tests are but it says it detects hcg at levels as low as 10. X

I personally wouldn't trust the one step tests, they are lovely and cheap but also well known for false positives.

I have had a squinter of a line at 4dpt, I always convinced myself testing early would help but the reality is its makes it worse as you become a serial line comparer and spiral into chemical/line progression panics. I would wait until at least a week if not longer if you can. A friend of mine didn't get her faint line until 10dpt and that line is now 2!! x

oh I won’t trust those one step for early on then.

I know all this, I just need to believe it and take my own advice haha. I know every pregnancy is different and levels will start earlier/later. I just need to calm down. X

Personally I think it's best to wait until OTD as testing early can get addictive and cause more stress and heartache. There is a reason your clinic has given you a specific day to test on. Try to find something to take your mind off it like trying a new hobby, reading a book, binge watching something or planning nice treats/days out for you and your partner. Good luck x

Hard to do but best wait for OTD Try to keep yourself busy- read a good book- watch tv -go for a walk and look for signs of spring & wrap up well ! Eat well and rest when you can - drink plenty of fluids Take any meds you have been given as directed

Good luck for OTD

7dpt with my son, 8dpt with a chemical before that and 6dpt I got a very faint line on a frer last month it ended up being a chemical though but I’m glad I tested early as had I not I wouldn’t have seen it wasn’t progressing as much as I would have liked and then in test day I would have had a positive and then a negative which would have been much harder to deal with. I would only use FRERs though at that stage all other tests are too inconclusive and can cause heartache for no reason!

I know people always say ‘best to wait to test day’ and yes once you test it is likely then a never ending testing every day nightmare for a few days but for me that usually works better to prepare me for the news on test day so you really just need to do what works best for you. There is no prizes at all for waiting until test day and it doesn’t change the outcome in any way so whatever you choose don’t beat yourself up cos ‘you didn’t wait’ 🤗 lots of luck to you! Xxx

I wait til test day, because of my history with chemical pregnancies. I prefer to just be in the bubble of PUPO and wait!
