Those of you that have moved onto donor options how many transfers did it take to work? I think I've been bit naive thinking If we move on to donor options then we will definitely get our baby but it's just dawned on me that may be even if we move to donor options it wont-work. 😢 And that I literally can't bear the thought of. I'm really upset to having to move to donor options but at the same time I've got Hope that that route will finally give us our baby and is keeping me going. So just wondering how many goes it took people to finally get their baby? and/or did some of you go down this route and it still didn't work?
Thanks

I decided to move to DE, not an easy decision as you know.
We did egg share. We ended up with 3 top grade embryos, first fresh transfer BFN, I was devastated .
Second DEFET was our first BFP from ivf (I had positives naturally all ending ) over the moon was an understatement, although as soon as I had a positive the anxiety set in at a totally new level .. we had a mmc at 9 weeks. Total shock and devastation. Didn’t think about happening being a DE.
Last DEFET chemical pregnancy 💔
I think I was totally naive about moving to DE .
Still hoping for our rainbow. We are hopefully going to do one last transfer with a new donor. We have 6 frozen eggs from a new donor.
I did try my eggs last year unfortunately I failed to get euploid embryos and so I didn't FET.
Moving to the donor cycle, I had my 1st euploid embryo transferred and BFP. This was my first time FET. I am almost 7 weeks. So There's still hopes on it.
I think it really depends on the clinic and their strategy.
Please keep positive, I hope things will work out for you, good luck. ❤️👍🏻
We’ve moved to DE after I failed to produce eggs during 2 cycles .
It took us 4 transfers with DE before we were successful. I was equally naive thinking moving to DE is the answer and it was disheartening to realise it’s not a guarantee of success. We had testing done after our failed 3rd FET and found I had high numbers of NK cells. Adding in steroids O think made the difference for us! We were successful on the 4th FET.
Good luck with your journey and sending you lots of baby dust!
I did 4 cycles with my own eggs before moving to donor. I got 3 embryos which I had tested, 2 were normal and the third probably also normal but came back as "no result" which can happen.
I was lucky enough to get a bfp from the first DE transfer, currently 40+3 weeks X
I purchased 10 frozen eggs from major online egg bank. ( really quick and easy ) I got 5 blasts and worked on second transfer. Because I already had some IVF children I knew the protocol that suited me and the issues I had with low progesterone so I guess I was further along the road in that sense.
I moved onto donor (double donor) and out of 10 frozen eggs got 1 top grade embryo and 1 poor grade although it did just make the cut for freezing. I was convinced with so few embryos it wouldn’t work but I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant, a pregnancy I honestly thought would never happen.
Don’t lose hope. Wishing you lots of love and luck for your journey xx
Our clinic's success rates for donor egg IVF were 48% per transfer so no guarantee but better odds than for the average own egg IVF. Our first attempt has been successful so far and I'm currently at 10 weeks 2 days with twins 😊 xx
Hi I donated half my eggs during IVF and I had a daughter who is now 8years old and the lady I donated to had a daughter at the same time as me and that was on her first go xxxx
I’ve had 5 transfers (4 frozen, 1 fresh) with donor eggs from 3 different donors all BFN. I don’t think I’m the norm but just goes to show that donor eggs don’t work for everyone x
