Just wanted to see if anyone was in the same boat really but I had an egg collection couple weeks ago only from 1 overy as I was having an investigation on the other to rule out anything cancerous Friday I got the all clear which was amazing they told me I could continue my journey IVF. I called the clinic and which previously said once you got the all clear call us and we're get u in. So I called them and now there telling me that it's not so straight forward and I need to talk to a doctor about my options the next appointment isn't until 24th April so a whole month to wait to be told options I know it's frozen and no rush but i had the surgery in Jan he has drained as much as he could IV got endo on my bowel so was difficult but now I'm being passed to another doctor I'm frustrated and confused has anyone gone ahead with a transfer with a cyst/endmentroma? Loosing the will to battle with all this 😢🤯

Delay in transfer
Hi Rookery17, sorry to hear about the delays but great news that you have got the all clear. I completely understand how you feel, IVF seems to just be a long and never ending period of waiting with more delays in between than one could think possible . My friend who also had IVF advised me to prepare for a marathon rather than a sprint and she was definitely right. I had a cyst on my ovary several times during the process but they checked it wasn’t active via blood tests and as it wasn’t really doing anything it didn’t prevent and of the procedures including transfer. Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust x
Hi sorry for all that you are going through, there always seems to be long delays in Ivf treatment, especially if you have endometriosis, good news that the tests you had done came back clear that is a positive to focus on in the meantime.
I have endometriosis and with all the ivf treatment I have had there has always been an endometrioma cyst present on at least one of my ovaries, they caused no issues at transfers, my consultants have always said as long as they do not grow too large to interfere with any of the procedures,( around 5cm I think it is). then you are ok to go ahead. one of mine grew to 10cm in 2018 which is when I had to have surgery to drain it and was diagnosed.... another had returned in a few months later but luckily they seem to have not grown beyond the limit since.
I think it is what most clinics do is you have to again speak with the doctor before having a treatment plan for the FET. At your follow up appointment they should discuss this with you, they also recommend to not have surgery repeatedly on ovaries if going through IVF because in can hinder egg reserve. so best to leave alone and carry on if the cysts are small.
I wish you all the best with your next steps. X
Thats great news so pleased you are able to go ahead on your next cycle! wishing all the best xx
